The Electrical Lineworker Instructor at Odessa College plays a critical role in fostering this culture. The Electrical Lineworker Instructor serves as part of the Continuing Education (CE) division, and is responsible for leading the Electrical Lineworker program to ensure every student receives quality instruction and training to prepare them to enter into and be successful in the workforce. The instructor is responsible for presenting the prepared curriculum, supervising organized skills activities, maintaining order, recording student progress, and assuring the presence of adequate supplies and equipment to conduct the program in a safe and effective manner.
Specific Position Duties
• Instruct the prepared curriculum for Electrical Lineworkers
• Provide theory & climbing skills instruction
• Maintain a quality program to include instruction, assessment, proper inventory and equipment, and safety.

Minimum Qualifications
• Minimum of 3 years documented work experience in the field to include competencies, skills, and knowledge in Electrical Line work;
• Relevant work related experience in the field or profession
• Must be able to work a flexible work schedule that may include some nights and weekends
• Must have a Class A Commercial Driver’s License
• Ability to manage time, projects, and resources in order to achieve program goals
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments
• Prior experience developing or delivering curriculum;
• Associate’s degree or higher in the teaching discipline or a related field from a regionally accredited college or university.
