Casual Hourly Rate: Level B: $74.49 - $88.45 plus 11% super

About the Role
The Clinical Lecturer position at the Melbourne Dental School offers a 12-month fixed-term or casual appointment for clinical supervision. The role involves contributing to clinical teaching and supervision, supporting students in developing evidence-based dentistry skills, and may include delivery of lectures, tutorials, and administrative tasks. Reporting to the Program Course Coordinator or Subject Coordinator, the position supports teaching across various dental degree programs and continuing professional development courses.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Develop and contribute to a high standard of teaching to students undertaking a clinical degree programs.
- Provide clinical practice leadership and education to coursework students, and at times provide coverage for subject coordinators and content convenors who may be on leave.
- Prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials and seminars, and other learning and teaching duties, as required.
Who We Are Looking For
We’re looking for people who possess extensive clinical teaching experience, exceptional communication skills, and a commitment to ongoing professional development and teaching excellence.
You will also have:
- A primary dental qualification registrable with the Dental Board of Australia and current AHPRA registration (No previous or current AHPRA conditions).
- Demonstrated clinical teaching experience specifically with students undertaking tertiary dental education.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse students and patients
- Evidence of ongoing extra-mural clinical practice and continuing professional development.

This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
