The Department of Education and Human Services seeks a highly motivated applicant for a full-time Instructor position for the Human Service/Pre-Social Work and Addiction Counseling curricula. This is a tenure-track faculty appointment with teaching and administrative responsibilities across the two curricula, including Curriculum Chair and Practicum Coordinator for the Addiction Counseling program.
In addition to the required teaching, administrative responsibilities, and student contact hours, instructors participate in program and curriculum development and assessment, student advisement, and facilitating student internship experiences within the curricula. The instructor is expected to participate in department, school and college-wide committees, initiatives, and events as well as professional development and community activities to keep abreast of trends the field and promote and develop the curriculum.
Job Requirements:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS : It is required that the successful candidate possess a Master's degree (MSW) from a Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) accredited program, Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counseling (CASAC), and a minimum of one year of college level teaching/practical experience.
All candidates must have evidence of responsiveness to and an understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, as these factors relate to the need for equity-minded practice within the classroom.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: It is preferred that the successful candidate is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and has four semesters of undergraduate level teaching and/or community college experience. Preferred candidates are innovative and knowledgeable educators with a demonstrated focus on program development, student success, and ability to use technology to support learning and assessment.

SALARY & BENEFITS: The starting salary is $75,170. Additional compensation with seniority steps maximize at a salary of $88,234.
