Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of Field Education, the Field Placement Specialist identifies, prepares, and coordinates Field Education agency placements for social work students.
This position advises and supports students throughout the placement process and supports the Field Department operations.
This position requires occasional evening and weekend hours.
Essential Functions
- Identifies and develops new Field Education agencies.
- Collaborates with Assistant Directors of Field Education to review student practicum applications.
- Educates students about Field Education policies, procedures, and expectations.
- Identifies, places, and monitors student practicum assignments.
- Educates agency representatives and Field Instructors about Field policies, procedures, and expectations.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date documentation and student and agency records.
- Ensures the accuracy of data entry and maintenance within the Field Department databases.
- Participates in student and agency evaluation processes.

Additional Functions
- Assists with Field and GSS programs and events, e.g., orientation, training, and graduation.
- Participates in GSS, Field Department, and team meetings.
Required Qualifications: Education and Experience
- MSW degree from a CSWE-accredited social work program.
- Minimum of 2 years post-MSW professional experience in the field of social work.

- Excellent professional written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to function independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Technical proficiency with commonly used software applications such as Excel, Microsoft Word, and Google.
- Successful candidates should have a knowledge of and commitment to the goals of Jesuit Education.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with higher education-specific systems (e.g., Banner, Slate, Qualtrics, Tevera).
Minimum Starting Salary: $68,000
Maximum Starting Salary: $73,000
Note: Salary is commensurate with qualifications, experience, and skills.
