NC State University is seeking a temporary employee to help manage email responsibilities for the university’s annual Day of Giving, a daylong fundraising event that revolves around friendly competition and fun challenges. The position will be responsible for copy editing emails that colleges, departments and other campus units send to prospective donors so they adhere to university branding guidelines and Associated Press style, meet standards regarding voice and tone, and follow email best practices.
Essential job duties:
Copy edit emails from colleges, departments and other campus units so they follow university branding guidelines, best practices and grammar rules
Communicate copy edits and any other necessary information to campus units
Collaborate with campus units on voice, tone and readability of email copy
Work with University Communications colleagues to organize emails and follow established workflow

Up to 29 hours per week, Monday - Thursday, 9am - 3 pm, Fridays 9am - 1pm, Hybrid ScheduleOther Work/Responsibilities
Build emails in our email sender, Acoustic, for email testing
Department Required Skills
Copy editing experience
Familiarity with Associated Press style
Experience with creating and marking up Adobe Acrobat PDFs
Strong attention to detail
Ability to meet deadlines consistently
Excellent customer service
Strong organizational skills
