Job Description

This position will work a hybrid schedule which includes a combination of working both onsite at Towne Center Drive and remote.
This position will support the EpicLink and M*Modal Fluency Direct applications. The incumbent will gain an in-depth knowledge of these applications, as well as health systems operations and workflow, and will work closely with the EPIC Application Team.
The incumbent will be responsible to build, maintain and optimize the Epic EMR system for the EpicLink application. EpicCare Link is a web-based portal system that allows our organization to extend patient information to external facilities and improve the continuity of care in your community (e.g. community clinics, external physicians and research coordinators, and insurance companies). The analyst manages agreements, provisions users, builds and updates data sets and master file records, performs quality assurance and integrated testing, and releases new functionality to end-users.
The incumbent will also be responsible to build, maintain and optimize M*Modal Fluency Direct a dictation application that integrates with Epic to boost physician productivity.
The incumbent will be responsible for reviewing vendor software releases and updates to test the features desired and then implement them within UCSD system(s). Assists in maintaining current test and training environments and will participate in training end-users. Provides 7/24 problem management support and resolution for clinical systems.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSSeven (7) years or more of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor's degree in related area plus three (3) years or more of related experience/training.
Required to be certified in an assigned EMR vendor's product/module within the first six (6) months of employment.
Must satisfy all vendor testing requirements to be certified without needing to attend vendor's training a second time for the same class.
Experience and proven success in information systems implementation, development, and support within a large-scale healthcare organization.
Demonstrated ability to provide expert consultative guidance and direction on change initiatives affecting clinical care processes.
Proven ability in workflow and data analysis and design techniques, including needs assessment, specification development, quantitative methods, planning, and gap analysis.
Ability to plan and organize day-to-day activities along with short and long-term projects; in-depth knowledge of organizational and project planning processes and ability to produce and maintain high-quality planning documents.
Demonstrated ability to effectively utilize system tools to meet the functionality needs of users.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Dedicated team player with strong interpersonal skills.

Epic Ambulatory certification.
EpicCare Link certification.
M*Modal Fluency Direct certification.
Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $94,400 - $176,800 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $45.21 - $84.67
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position.
