The University of Notre Dame is seeking a creative and dynamic Digital Media Assistant Director to lead our Enrollment Division in transforming how we connect with prospective students through social media and beyond!

What You’ll Do:
As our Digital Media Assistant Director, you’ll be at the forefront of our digital recruitment strategy, enhancing our presence across platforms like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. Your primary mission? To inspire and engage future Fighting Irish!

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and Inspire: Supervise and mentor a talented team of student interns as you dive into the exciting world of social networking, webcasts, podcasting, and more.
  • Community Management: Cultivate and manage vibrant online communities for prospective and admitted students, ensuring they feel welcomed and informed.
  • Innovate: Evaluate and design marketing strategies that leverage emerging technologies to help us achieve our enrollment goals.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with ND Studios to produce captivating live and pre-recorded events that showcase our university’s spirit and offerings.
  • Create Compelling Content: Shoot, edit, and produce videos that tell our unique stories, while also bringing your graphic design skills to the table to create eye-catching visuals for digital and print media.
  • Construct: Stong understanding of visual design principles, typography, color theory, and layout and ability to execute design concepts using Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or journalism, or commensurate experience in a related discipline.
  • Have at least 3 years relevant work experience in developing and managing social media programs and campaigns in either a higher education or corporate environment.
  • Must be a creative problem-solver with in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective participants, and have an established online footprint and proven ability to manage a continuous, professional appearance in social media.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills in English are required, along with an understanding of social media metrics and tracking software.
  • Proficiency with design software, including Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Must be a strong team player who can work fluidly with many diverse groups of constituents.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Higher Education/Experience in an academic environment preferred.

Special Instructions to Applicants

After a period of training, this position has an option to work 2 days remote and 3 days on campus.
