As the Assistant Director of Student Retention, you will spearhead the implementation and oversight of cutting-edge retention programs and initiatives. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including Academic Advisors, Registrar, Financial Aid, Bursar, and Student Affairs, you will play a pivotal role in assisting students in resolving complex issues, navigating support services, and managing intricate cases that may impact their persistence, satisfaction, and graduation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic retention initiatives to improve student persistence and graduation rates
- Collaborate with various university departments to identify and address student needs proactively
- Analyze data and trends to inform decision-making and program development
- Provide guidance and support to students facing challenges that may impede their academic progress
- Foster a culture of student success by promoting engagement and a sense of belonging
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Higher Education, a related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Three to five years of related work experience
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making abilities
- Proven project management and organizational skills
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion

This position is a Grade: 9 - 40, offering an approximate salary of $54,390-$66,190. The duties of this position may allow the employee to work partially remote as deemed appropriate by their supervisor. This position works with minors.
