Position Summary
The Population Research Center engages in demographic research with public policy applications. The post-doctoral researcher will be responsible for the development of statistical framework for computation of confidence or credible intervals via simulation or other methods from a method for generating small area estimates based on census and survey data. Data for high level geographies are allocated to more granular geographic levels by use of weighting surfaces computed from correlated small area data.
Candidates seeking a J-1 exchange visitor visa will be considered.

Minimum Qualifications
- Doctoral or equivalent degree. ABD candidates will be considered contingent upon completion of their degree.
Preferred Qualifications
- Candidate should have advanced knowledge of statistics.
- Knowledge of census or survey data and GIS would be an asset.
- The ideal candidate will also have experience building reproducible and generalized research frameworks and tools.

Total Compensation Range & Benefits Statement
The starting annual salary for this position will be $61,008 but may be negotiated above this rate dependent upon the the number of full years of relevant post doctoral experience : https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-OD-24-104.html
