Position Summary/Purpose of Position:
The Department of Accounting & Information Assurance (AIA) at the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland, College Park seeks to hire Non-Tenure Professional Track Faculty. The appointments will be at the level of Lecturer or Senior Lecturer depending on experience and qualifications. The starting date will be August 2024. Applicants are expected to develop and teach high quality courses — both in person and online — to students in our undergraduate, specialty accounting masters, MBA, and executive education programs. Candidates are expected to have a primary focus on course delivery and development and assist with program administration. The mix of these responsibilities differs across the ranks and can vary over time.

Minimum Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Outstanding demonstrated teaching skills to a variety of audiences across different formats (e.g., in-person, online, and hybrid) and across a variety of subject areas in accounting.

- The ideal candidate for Lecturer will have an advanced degree in a related field with relevant teaching experience at the undergraduate or graduate level.
- Prior successful teaching in a top ranked business school.
- Experience in senior corporate leadership roles.
