Driver Supervisor

The Driver Supervisor is responsible to the PDC Manager. They will supervise, support, advise and assist a team of approximately 10 drivers. You will support the Transportation Manager in assuring that company policies and procedures are performed safely, efficiently and professionally within your driver team.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Complete daily driving duties as assigned and available.
  • Observe your team, when possible, to ensure they are properly trained and adhering to DOT regulations. company policies, safety procedures and operation processes. Report concerns to the Transportation Manager.
  • Assist in training or re-training of procedures and processes when required.
  • Share your team's feedback on route or delivery concerns and suggested improvements. Utilizing "Share It" where necessary.
  • Ride along and/or re-train your team member on safety items, corrective actions, and observations when requested by PDC Manager or Transportation Manager.
  • Assist the Transportation Manager, Operations Manager, PDC Manager and HSSE Manager on reviewing incidents, including but not limited to accidents, injuries, spills, mixes, security issues, and unsafe conditions within your team.
  • Assist the Transportation Manager in assessing and improving your team's productivity and efficiency to reach team goals.
  • Input on content development and communication in all safety meetings and toolbox talks.
  • Monitoring your team to make sure they use proper PPE and are in uniform representing the company as a professional driver.
  • Ensures all equipment is being used and maintained to WKC standards by your team members.
  • Give feedback and act as a liaison between your team and Management.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Work Experience Required

  • Prior fuels and/or lubes driver experience is required. Prior experience as a supervisor is preferred.
  • DOT and Hazardous training and experience

Technical Skills & Specific Knowledge Required

  • Proven Driver safety record
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Problem solves with minimal supervision.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of US DOT regulations.
  • Subject matter expert on product loading, transport and delivery procedures.

Language Requirements

  • English - Excellent spoken & written
  • Spanish language skills are desirable.
