Bone and Marrow Transplantation (BMT) is a highly complex and resource-intensive treatment requiring a specialized multi-disciplinary team. Under the general supervision of BMT leadership, the BMT Clinical Social Worker III provides clinical social work services, including comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessment and treatment planning; ongoing psychosocial evaluation; counseling for adjustment to illness and the impact of treatment; psycho-education; and linkage with resources, e.g., support and financial assistance. Services are provided to patients and their caregivers in both out-patient and in-patient settings. The Clinical Social Worker III also participates in related department functions. Performs all other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSA Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited school.
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) - issued by the state of California.
A minimum of three (3) years post-Master's Degree (MSW) experience.
Strong ability to provide advanced clinical social work interventions, including crisis intervention, brief mental health services to individuals and couples, family counseling, anticipatory grief work, supportive counseling, group therapy, and mandated reporting.
Proven experience with the provision of social work services to oncology patients of diverse age groups, with sensitivity to the cross-section of the cultural population.
BMT experience or solid organ transplant experience. Experience with patients identified for HCT or IEC transplant.
Experience in an oncology setting.
Development and utilization of research to improve clinical practice and implement evidence-based psychosocial support programs, services, and interventions.
Interest in research to advance clinical psychosocial knowledge in providing healthcare services to cancer patients.
Epic experience.
Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $95,626 - $125,990 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $45.80 - $60.34
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
