Job Description

The Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE), housed within the Institute for Educational Initiatives (IEI) at the University of Notre Dame, invites applications for a full-time Associate Program Director for the ACE Principal Academy. The ACE Principal Academy is designed to foster excellence in Catholic school principals through the professional development, coaching, collaboration, and spiritual formation provided by the program to help principals become stronger and more intentional leaders for their schools in the domains of Catholic school culture, instructional leadership, and executive management. The ACE Principal Academy currently accomplishes its aim through the Cabrini fellowship, a two year formation program for
experienced (~3+ years of leadership) K-12 Catholic school principals from across the United States. The Associate Program Director of the ACE Principal Academy will be responsible for the coordination of program operations, including retreats, immersions and other professional development opportunities, data collection and reporting, and recruitment and communications that advance the mission of the ACE Principal Academy.

Lead Program Communications & Marketing (40% of time):
a. Oversee Communications Efforts
i. Working closely with the program director and IEI Communications team, oversee programmatic communications to ensure strong branding of the program initiatives and mission to both internal and external stakeholders.
ii. Cultivate, compose, and edit the quarterly program newsletter to alumni and other program stakeholders.
iii. Manage other programmatic communications with the individual cohorts and program participants.
iv. Regularly update the website and facilitate the distribution of other external communication initiatives
b. Manage Program Recruitment, Selection & Program Development:
i. Collaborate with the Director to create and implement strategies to ensure a high-quality applicant pool of 50-100 applications annually across programmatic initiatives.
ii. Support candidate interview and selection processes, including:
1. Scheduling interviews with program applicants
2. Processing admissions and rejection decisions and collecting new cohort enrollment paperwork.
iii. Manage data collection processes to ensure incoming cohort information is integrated into program information management systems.
iv. Represent the program at strategic recruiting events throughout the summer and school year as needed.
v. Provide media and technology support:
1. Develop and maintain content for a compelling web presence and social media strategy.
2. Create and update online applications and associated print materials to attract high-capacity candidates.

Lead Data Collection & Analysis (30% of time):
a. Collaborate with the Director of the ACE Principal Academy and the Program Research and Evaluation team to ensure robust collection, analysis, and reporting of program data.
i. Develop, manage, and maintain program databases and create policies and processes for effective data management within the unit.
ii. Collect, analyze, and distribute participant feedback and program data to support internal program evaluation and continued growth and development after professional development experiences.
iii. Serve as the liaison to the IEI Data Team and ensure the program is in compliance with shared data management practices required by the Institute (SLATE), managing data systems for the ACE Principal Academy.
iv. Support the Program Research and Evaluation team in collecting program level data evaluation data, particularly:
1. Entry and Exit Surveys
2. Annual School Climate Surveys
3. Enrollment management data
4. Other data as identified through continued program growth
b. Support program coaches by disaggregating and presenting collected participant and school-level data to enhance and improve data-driven efforts to support program individuals Fellows.

Coordinate the daily operations of the ACE Principal Academy (25% of time):
a. Participate in and contribute to regular team meetings.
b. Lead logistical planning for program offerings including the summer institute, on and off-campus retreats, collaborations, immersions, and any other professional development opportunities.:
i. Organize and plan meetings with program team members;
ii. Coordinate and support the implementation of event details and logistics, including scheduling, travel, lodging, meals, and other operational aspects of these experiences.
c. Oversee the efficient operation of program operations, including:
i. Maintain programs’ Google calendars, email, and Fellow database and directories
ii. Oversee inventory of program supplies, including retreat medals, shirts/apparel, and other program branded supplies; meeting with off-campus vendors about purchasing and coordination of program supplies, as needed.
iii. Manage the preparation, distribution, and collection of program invoices, working closely with Fellows, the IEI business manager, and local education agencies to maximize Title funding allocation.

Other Duties as Assigned (5% of time):
a. The Associate Program Director undertakes other duties as assigned by the Director of the Institute for Educational Initiatives, the Executive Director of ACE, and the Director of the ACE Principal Academy.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Education or related field.
  • 1-2 years experience
  • Teaching or School Administrative Experience.
