Job Summary:
As a servant leader, provide complex, strategic HR guidance to university leaders in coordination with unit-embedded business HR teammates. Establish and maintain effective relationships with unit leaders to ensure unit HR goals are achieved and aligned with organizational initiatives. Act as advocate for employees and management and foster accountability. Partner with HR colleagues in HR Centers of Excellence and other University partners to ensure value added and integrated service to UVM employees. Provide guidance and support for labor related items.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field. 3-5 years of HR experience in a professional role. Union experience preferred. Experience resolving complex employee relations situations. Working knowledge of employment laws. Effective written and verbal communications, presentation and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team. Demonstrated success working with a range of culturally and ethnically diverse populations and evidence of commitment of fostering a collaborative multicultural environment. SPHR/PHR certification preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $64,000.00 - $74,000.00 per year
